When you use the RSVP form, you are updating your existing record on our guest list -not creating a new one. Through the RSVP form, you may provide or update:

  • Phone number (optional, for SMS event notifications)
  • Attendance response (attending or not attending)
  • Number of guests in your party
  • Meal preferences or dietary restrictions

Guestbook Information

  • Your name
  • Written messages and well-wishes
  • Photos you choose to upload

Automatically Collected Information

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand general website usage. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual visitors across sites. All data is aggregated and anonymous.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for wedding-related purposes:

  • Managing RSVPs and coordinating wedding logistics (seating arrangements, catering, event planning)
  • Sending event-related notifications via SMS, including RSVP confirmations, event reminders, schedule updates, and thank-you messages
  • Displaying approved guestbook messages and photos on the website for other guests to enjoy

Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate this website. Each service only processes the minimum data necessary to provide its functionality:

  • Convex -Real-time database used to store RSVPs, guestbook entries, and uploaded images. Data is stored securely in Convex's cloud infrastructure.
  • Twilio -Used to send SMS event notifications to guests who have provided their phone number and opted in. Twilio processes your phone number and message content to deliver texts.
  • Vercel -Hosts the website and processes web requests. Vercel may log standard web request information (IP addresses, request headers) as part of normal operations.
  • Plausible Analytics -Privacy-friendly, cookie-free website analytics. No personal data is collected or stored. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes. Your data is shared with third-party services only as described above and only to the extent necessary to operate this website.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. Access to guest data is restricted to authorized wedding administrators only and protected by password-based authentication.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The only cookie used is a session cookie for the administrative dashboard, which is not set for regular guest visitors. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is fully cookie-free.

Data Retention

  • RSVP data will be retained through the wedding date and for a reasonable period afterward to support follow-up communications (such as thank-you messages).
  • Guestbook messages and photos may be retained longer as a keepsake, but your name can be removed upon request.
  • Phone numbers used for SMS notifications will be deleted after the final event-related message has been sent.

We aim to delete all personal data within 90 days after the wedding unless you request earlier removal.
